I think my next oil change I will do it then and do the change myself. Ain't no way I would get lucky and that thing not fall of if I left the oil in it lol Honesty, I haven't actually heard of anyone I know actually draining it first but I definitely understand your concern. I drained my oil first when I installed the EVO oil pan skid. I had the skid for about 2-3 weeks and just waited for my oil change to put it on. I figured the oil pan wouldn't come off with it full of oil, but I still didn't want to take that chance lol. And I never did "properly" torque down the bolts since my torque wrench wouldn't fit, so all mine are just snugged on there. So far so good, I've had it on there for almost 2 years now.
